Bedtime Prayers

My kids never stop entertaining me, even to bedtime. Each night, before we get into our beds, we say a prayer. This has become a MUST HAVE. They miss it if we don't do it and will call us back in to make sure that they are properly tucked in.

Before we pray, we ask the kids what things they are thankful for that we can thank God for and if they have anything special that they want to pray for. Their requests vary from day to day, just like the rest of us. Some days it's simple things like toys, etc. Other nights it's more serious things that are on their little hearts. Since we got to Memaw's house, the prayer time has been sweet.

The night before Scott left, Hal wanted to pray for her Daddy's safety and for the person who was flying the plane. B. on the other hand...he wanted to pray that Memaw's tomato would hurry and get bigger and turn red. (so he can finally pick it!)

Last night was another prayer for Daddy and when it came time for B. to let me know what he would like to pray for, he said this..."Memaw and you...and your SPECIAL SPECIAL hair!" (mind you he was fuzzing my hair all around as he said it) I DIED laughing and so did he and everybody else in the house. I almost couldn't stop. Mom asked if we thought God was laughing when we prayed about that and all I could say was ABSOLUTELY!

There is nothing better then sweet prayers by our sweet children!

Isn't there a saying...something...
"out of the mouths of babes!"
