New "do"

It's hot here...first of all... Last Friday, I was overtaken by the Houston heat and HAD to get my hair cut. My usual girl, Eve, who works at ASAP and is awesome if you need a hair person was booked, as usual. They took my name and said they'd call if there was a cancellation. I waited...and then...at the end of the day, let someone at a "cheap" place cut my hair. Now, if you do this regularly, I'm sorry. It's not meant as badly as it sounds, but if you have hair like mine...it's just not smart. At all. I have enough hair for a couple of people, I think. And the only person who has EVER cut it the right way and taken care of the thickness has been Eve. To say I love her is an understatement. I got a new "do"...but I don't love it. It's hard to take care of...too thick still (despite the fact that the girl said because it was shorter, it'd be less heavy)...and now I'm scared to go see Eve to "fix" it because she might disown me. I can't have that. PLEASE don't disown me! SO....I'm waiting it out. Another month and I'll face her to get my highlights and a touch-up on the "do." Sigh. That's what I get for not being patient!
