We love Easter!

All ready for Church!

This year, Easter was fun!! The kids are getting old enough that they really know how to get in there and go for it! We thought we might have to opt for the indoor version of an egg hunt, but the weather pulled through for us and we got to go outside after all!

Saturday night, we went over to "Gram's" house (as the kids call Linda) and colored eggs with their cousins. I was very excited because they don't get to spend much time with D. and A. since they live in South Carolina! They had a blast together and we even managed to see them a few times other than that while they were here! It was great!

Sunday, we got up and went to church and then came home for lunch and the egg hunt. It's amazing how FAST it's over with after all the trouble the "Easter Bunny" goes to putting it together.

We made a new tradition of making a cake together. I made a devil's food cake (YUMMY! My favorite!) double layer and the kids decorated it with a zillion sprinkles. While we had OUR treat after the hunt and dividing up the eggs, C. got her first taste of bananas!! She loved them! Her Easter basket was full of cups, bowls, bananas and spoons to get her off on the right track with eating. What a SMART easter bunny! :) H. and B. each got a kite (which they can't wait to get out and use soon) and some gum (another of their favorite things), along with a seek and find book. They loved what they got and I loved that it wasn't just CANDY! I'd like to save their teeth!!! I know...MEAN mama! We all had a lot of fun together.

It's amazing how things change in a year. Last year, we couldn't even talk of Santa, a bunny or any other dressed up character coming NEAR our house without a freak out episode from H.. She was very very scared of it and we had to just pretend we could make other arrangements with them. This year, she was all for it!!! She's growing up!!! They all are...and too fast, at that!!
