Remember when....

Last night, a couple friends and their families and mine all went out for some good ol' Mickey D's fun! I don't think it's because we LOVE it so much...but more of the kids will stay busy so we can actually have some adult convo without being interrupted OR having to tell them to be quiet or mind their manners. There's something good about McD's! I take that back...GREAT. My only regret is that we didn't get to pass on the fact that we were going before leaving the parking lot. Oh well..next time. These Sunday night fun times HAVE to continue. It's a must...

I had SO much fun laughing about old times and stuff from when we were younger.

I have to admit..it's so funny to me that we're at that point...."remembering the good ol' days!" (I said "good 'ol" two times in this post so far...hmm...oh well. Ha!

As a tribute to the good times I had last night...I thought I'd post a few "Remember whens..."

Remember when...

Everyone wore GIGANTIC tortoise shell glasses...or some other colorful color of them?? THANK GOODNESS times change! I can actually STAND wearing glasses now!

Rompers were in? Anybody? OK. I must confess..I had one. I'm ashamed. But everyone did!

Cool girls wore side ponytails...WITH their huge bangs??

Penny loafers were the thing?

You were MULTIPLE pairs of socks so that you could fold them down and get the multicolored effect? OK...did our feet OFFICIALLY STINK ALL THE TIME? My feet get hot with ONE pair! I guess it was good in the winter!

What were some of your memories?!??! I wanna hear 'em!

Okay--here's just a few that I can remember. I'm getting kinda old, so my memory's kinda going. LOL!

swatch watches
Coca-cola shirts
shirts with the collar up
plastic charm necklaces (do you remember ones with the pacifiers on them?)
painter caps and parachute pants for the boys
tight-rolled jeans or jeans with a zipper on the ankles and a bow on the back (such an unflattering trend-ha!)
big 'Aqua-net' hair
guys shaving designs in the side of their hair like Vanilla Ice

I'm sure I'll stay up thinking about things I left off the list--you know me!

Anyway, we loved spending time with y'all at Mickey D's. Now to plan whose house to T.P. (HA! Just kidding... or am I?_

Hey, I was almost gonna say the "tight rolled jeans" thing. The sleeves on t-shirts had to be rolled up too. Oh man, and the BIG hair...yep, I went through tons of hair spray keeping it up like that.

Ah, the memories!
