Getting ready for Fall!

As some of you know, this year, we're homeschooling Hal.

She love it and is doing great! Already beginning to read and making so much progress!

Well, this is just one example of what we've been doing this week. We've been learning about the alphabet, of course, some math...all things that she already knows pretty much, only more advanced. I have been trying to get some craft time in there with some learning about other subjects like fire safety, where we live, states, etc.

Yesterday our hallway turned into a "fallway" I guess you could say. We have been talking about the changing of the seasons and so we took die-cut shapes of fall and listed different adjectives that tell what we think about when we think about fall. We then put them up in our hallway. The kids loved it and it was an easy and fun way to think about the season.

such fun! I miss the fun school times we had when the kids were younger. so many great projects and such. one of the best compliments I ever got was from my sister in law:
"everywhere you go in this house, you learn something"...since we often had different projects posted all over the place! :)

I am loving your 'fallway'. Did I mention that fall if my favorite time of the year too? Anyway, I'm so happy that Hal is doing so good with school (not that I'm surprised!) She's one smart cookie! By the way, did I mention how cute and adorable your kiddos always look in their pics? Well, they do!! I love those sweetie-pies!!

That's a very cute "Fallway." I think back, and we've done things like this so many times - sometimes Clint doesn't know what he's gonna come home and see.
