Thoughts...all over the place!

So today was supposed to be movie day. At the movies here in town, they're having that Summer deal where you get each movie for $1 per person. GREAT deal....not so great deal...it's at 10 AM. UGH! Do I HAVE to get 4 of us all ready and cute and happy by 9:30 to go sit through a movie we've probably seen before and Haleigh will freak about? Not so much today...

Secondly, after spending ALL DAY yesterday doing laundry...I am STILL doing it today. UN-BE-LIEVABLE! Because of this, I started looking up where I could donate or give away to. I found a pretty cool site where you post your used items for points..and then can use the points on things from other people. It's called Zwaggle.com. We'll see...but I like the idea of giving the kids' clothes to someone locally who I kind of know at least is making the effort to help someone else too by sharing their old treasures! I started posting away! As I wash, I am taking pictures of outgrown items and putting them up. All of my items are set as pick up or drop off only so I don't have to mess with shipping costs and neither does the person. I'm determined I am NOT quitting until there is not a piece of clothing that is either up to give away, in a donation box, or in it's place. Enough with the clutter. There! I feel better getting that out!

Lastly, FOOD! Food has been such an irritating thing for our family lately. I don't know if it has been for yours. It's awful when between the costs of running your electric kitchen appliances, the outrageous grocery bill and the time it takes to get everything ready yourself, it is easier AND just as cheap to eat fast food. The thing that I worry about is that people out there already feed their kids (not saying we don't do our fair share, for sure!) nuggets and french fries on a regular basis. With the costs as high as they are, people are becoming frustrated and giving up on cooking. I'm guilty of it too..ALTHOUGH...I have cooked for the entire last week with only 1 eat out! I'm actually really proud of that. It is sad though...meals that used to be cheap...still are costing 12 or so dollars to make at home. I know...in reality, MUCH better for us...fresher...and better tasting especially...but when you're a stay at home mom, those drive throughs for just a couple more dollars and MUCH less work are TEMPTING!

Laundry calls..time to change out again! FUN!
