Black Friday...

OK. I know. I must live in the dark ages. I did not realize that this Friday.."the biggest shopping day of the year"...was called Black Friday. I still do not know WHY it is called that. Scott said something about people's checkbooks not being in the red??? Umm...I wish that were true in our family! I've gotten such a kick out of the stories going around in blogland about Black Friday and the best/worst that's happened. It sounds like everybody is getting excited about the holiday shopping beginning, and you know what? I am too! This is the first year in a while that I am PSYCHED about Christmas! Usually I get kind of irritated at the decorations coming up way too early and the Christmas songs starting right after Halloween. This year I've loved it. I'm ready to get my own music out and play it every day. Holidays this year have all around been more fun so far. I think it's because the kids are getting older and our family is complete. It just makes there be much more of a sense of...well...completeness. We can focus on making wonderful memories now, and not so much on what is going to happen next. Bring on Black Friday! THIS mama's going shoppin'!

Maybe I can mooch some of that spirit off of you? I get excited for the decorating, the music, the food, the holiday movies, etc. Shopping? Not so much. :)
