BUT...

No..I didn't make it on my run this morning. Somehow I forgot to factor in a 9 month old who STILL doesn't make it through the night in my being able to be fully awake early on a Saturday morning. It was a rough night, I woke up not feeling great and I'll admit..I was a bit intimidated by the 5 mile distance considering how I felt. I had "fueled" all up and everything yesterday, had spaghetti for dinner...all the "right" things...ok..except the half a piece of White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake I had last night while dining out with friends. I'm sorry...some things just shouldn't be resisted. This is one of those things!

This is where the BUT comes in....

I RAN IT! About 7:30, I took off to run to Kroger and back...5 miles...and I didn't die! It took me a little over an hour and it wasn't easy and felt like forever, but I did it. Scott put the kids in the bicycle trailer and they tagged along on parts of my run.

I'm really tired...and my body is mad at me right now for turning on it...but I DID IT!

5 miles in only 3 or so weeks of jogging "ain't so bad!" :)

I'm proud of you for going by your self! Running 5 miles alone is tough....I'm glad Scott went with you for some of it. I missed you this morning. And, I hope you feel better.

Later gator!

Wow! That's awesome in only three weeks. I wish I could run again. In college I used to run everyday, but even then about 3 miles was my limit. Now though, if I even THINK about it, I get shinsplints. I used to really enjoy it though - like you said, with three kids it's good to have an outlet to "de-stress."

Anyway, you're doing awesome!!!

WOW. You really are amazing. When my little guys wasn't sleeping at night I barely functioned, let alone ran. Great job you should really be proud of yourself. That has got to take some commitment.
